Mist spray nozzles were fitted to the old and new Aviaries. Plumage of the birds tends to be in a better condition. The Mist spray is only opened for approximately 2 minutes at a time and under own discretion. Since I'm living on a small holding, I have to make use of borehole water. In my case the water hardness is quite a problem . A small amount of Potassium permanganate (Condy's Cristals) are added every third day to the water in the open flight.
